Let’s read.

A boy is playing badminton.

An elephant is a large animal.

The sun is very hot.

 

‘A’

Used  before words beginning with a consonant sound.

Examples :-

a man               a lamp           a cat

 

‘An’

Used before words that begin with a vowel sound.

Examples :-

An apple         An eraser         An umbrella

 

‘The’

Used for specific objects.

Examples:-

the world             the north                   the sky
